TOURIST EXPERIENCE:

A WALK IN THE COMMUNITIES

Each community have their stories, their story keepers, their uniqueness, but as you walk along our wide sandy streets, you will have the opportunity to understand a little of who we are and how we live.
Reading the landscapes reveals a lot: in front of our houses, you can see the urucum plantation used to paint the tucumã straw, which can be found drying up ahead, a sign that they will soon be woven into household items and art; draft beer made from local fruits like taperebá and cupuaçu hint at the temperatures in our region and the fishing nets on the clotheslines anticipate what’s for dinner.
The landscape also tells us about the passion that we all have for football, young and old, men and women.
The Japiin nests, known elsewhere as xexéu, cacique preto or Cacicus cela in Latin, can be found in all communities. We wonder if they weren't the ones who taught our ancestors to weave with fibers.
